This design references the palm leaves from which they fashion the roofs for the stilt houses that the Wounaan live, in the villages.

Given the nature and story of these Werregue palm pendants, the tightly woven fiber results in an opaque shade, with a focused spot light emanating from the bottom mouth of the fixture.
