Talabartero Leather Pouf
Solid

$1,525.00$1,765.00

The leather poufs and pillows in this collection are inspired by the equestrian heritage of Colombia’s coffee growing region. Talabartero translates as ‘master saddler’—and the collection draws upon the expert craftsmanship and fine detailing—the stitching, the braiding, the embroidery, and the hand tooling—that characterize the best of vintage saddles from the area.

We’ve partnered with master craftsman Edgar Beltran Jaramillo and the skilled team in his Bógota-based workshop to bring this collection to life.

Each piece is crafted from a saturated jewel-toned color palette that draws on the works of Colombian artist Fernando Botero.

  • black and white onyx stone sconce.lit modern stone sconce light fixture in black and white onyx and a tala bulb.
    $2,375.00

Our Piedra lighting takes its inspiration from the stone masks of the ancient civilization of Teotihuacán. Carved in the Mexican city of Tecali — which means ‘stone house’ in Nahuatl — these wall sconces and semi-flush mount lights draw on the clean lines, defined angles, and streamlined silhouettes that epitomize the pre-Colombian stone masks. Sculpted from carefully chosen marble or onyx, each piece reflects the unique character of the individual stone from which it is formed.

  • Pabilo blanket handwoven with Cotton and Wool
    $675.00

Incorporating a technique developed in the workshop in the 1970’s, the weave of this bedcover combines a cotton warp with a wool weft, working with yarns of varying thicknesses. The gathered ‘pockets’ are the result of the deft work of a single person expertly manipulating a 4-pedal–loom: each of the two warps relies on a different tension, resulting in the little pockets of fabric that characterize this distinctive design.
